Such a terrific and fascinating story!Β
Ben Affleck plays a convincing aloof, naive husband.

The opening credits have a really cool, grungy 007 look and feel to it.
The mystery plot is reminiscent of βKnives Outβ, which is ironic because both Daniel Craig and Christopher Plummer were also cast in that movie.Β
There are some gruesome, horrific scenes in here that made me squirm in my seat.
LOVE this movie!
The highlights of this movie for me are without question, the brilliant score by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, and the incredible writing by Aaron Sorkin.
Amazing!
Iβm bumping up my rating on this. I found it so beautifully tragic and really enjoyed it!
The story is a slow-burn but it never got dull for me.Β
I think this is when Brad Pitt officially became a movie star β heβs terrific!
This is my third viewing, and I think it finally clicked for me. I previously thought this was just an OK movie but itβs pretty terrific.
The casting and writing are both great, and the story itself is really fascinating to follow along and try to keep up with all the details of the Zodiac case.
I finished the 7-day welcome series of Pliability and I am HOOKED!
What is Pliability? πΊ
Itβs taken the place of my morning mindfulness before everyone else wakes up and gets me loosened up and feeling good to kickstart the day.
Give it a try, free for 2 weeks.
Yep, my review stands after a second viewing. Still incredible!
I enjoyed this with my 7-year old son this time around and he loved it too.
Right from the opening credits, the visuals and score, feel very grungy Matrix vibe.
Edward Norton and Brad Pitt are both exceptional!
The first 90 minutes are awesome. Then I start to lose interest until the movie ends and I canβt quite put my finger on why that is.
Even after a rewatch, this is still just as exciting to revisit and watch all the events unfold.
The ending is pretty terrific and Michael Douglas plays the part perfectly all the way through his character arc.
Oh what Iβd give to be able to experience the last 30 minutes of the film for the first time again.Β
Masterful! π
Pitt and Freeman are a terrific pair and a treat to watch on screen together.Β
A really interesting choice to roll the end credits in reverse β top to bottom.
A magical, fun adventure. I showed this to 2 of my kids for the first time. The younger one had more fun with it than the older π.Β
The CGI is pretty rough for 2001 but it gets a pass.
This is a good movie. Very well-made all around.Β
Leo and Cate were great in their respective roles.Β
But I found myself losing interest and as it ended I felt pretty lukewarm about it.
Simply masterful!
Easily among my favorite Scorsese films.Β
I LOVE the one-er in the night club that follows the Hill character from the parking lot all the way through the club to his seats. Incredible!
I enjoyed this more than I expected to.Β
Quite the electric duo in Newman and Cruise, wow!
The first half of the film that centers around Cruise is more interesting to me than the second half where Newmanβs character is the focus though.
The movie is really well done and I actually enjoy the black-and-white.
Robert De Niro is definitely a stand out, but this is kind of a painful film to watch. I can certainly appreciate it for what it is but it just didnβt land with me the way I hoped it would.
I donβt consider myself a Taylor Swift βfanβ, nor am I real familiar with most of her music.Β
But DUDE, she is a LEGIT entertainer! π
This was my favorite way to enjoy a live music performance.Β
The runtime didnβt bother me a bit and I definitely enjoyed myself throughout. My wife and two kids enjoyed it too.Β
It was also pretty great to enjoy this is a crowded theater with a bunch of super fans!
This is only the second time Iβve seen this and it was probably 12 or more years since I first saw it.
While I can appreciate it, I canβt say that I enjoyed it that much, nor do I wanna watch it again anytime soon.
Robert De Niro is terrific though.
This gets 3 stars purely for nostalgia. I remember watching this countless times when I was a little kid and it was fun to revisit it with my 3-year old daughter today.Β
Robin Williams as βBarryβ is the highlight for me π.
Overall, this is a pretty good live-action translation from the original film. About 30 minutes too long though.Β
The songs and the music are definitely the highlight for me. I even enjoyed one of the few original songs.
Melissa McCarthy, as Ursula was terrific, but I did not think she was very menacing as she was in the animated film.
I was really excited to see this movie, and I have to say, it did not disappoint! All of the visuals are absolutely stunning!
I felt all kind of vibes from other films, like District 9, Elysium, and some of the tech from Oblivion.
I thought the story was really interesting, and the pace of the film moved along really nicely.
I think this is a terrific sci-fi movie that Iβm excited to revisit again soon.
I showed this to my 7-year old and he was blown away (just like I continue to be)!Β
Iβm so thankful to share that experience with him βΊοΈ
Took my two boys to see this one and they loved it!
Me, not so much. Nowhere near as good as the last movie.
