What’s something that stuck out to me while watching?
- I was pretty excited to see this but was ultimately disappointed.
- The overall story had promise but I was surprised by how poorly-written each of the random B plot side stories were executed. It’s probably not too different from other similar story mechanics but they just felt sloppy and uninteresting.
- The “villain” was completely forgettable.
- This is probably at the bottom of my Illumination films.
Why did I decide to press play on this movie?
- My two boys were pumped to see this at the theater.
