This is a movie that is unapologetically aware of what it’s trying to be.
When the crew isn’t busting heads and flapping their gums instead, that’s when the poor writing really comes through.
There are some terrific cameos by a few people that are huge in the action movie genre, but even those scenes aren’t written very well.
Some of the action is pretty good, but on the hole, it’s a little extra stylized that just seems sloppy.
