I was never going to like this one. I’m not particularly interested in Johnny Cash and I’ve always kind of been lukewarm on biopic films.
But I wanted to watch this because I wanted to get more familiar with director James Mangold’s work. He did a nice job with the film.
I did enjoy seeing Joaquin Phoenix’s portrayal and transformation into the role and Reese Witherspoon was delightful.
