The whole first fight of the movie is one long shot from start to finish — incredible to watch! There’s another great one to start the final bout.
Great soundtrack.
This has a really solid story that doesn’t feel like the cash grab I thought it was going to be back when it was first released. Director Ryan Coogler brings a fresh perspective to a franchise-adjacent character and ties it in nicely to the Rocky franchise.
This may be the most depth we’ve seen from Rocky Balboa in all the movies up to this point. Sly Stallone delivers a noteworthy performance with a genuine and authentic outlook on where his character is in his post-fighting life.
Tessa Thompson is a great edition to the franchise, too.
The final bout is among the best I’ve seen in terms of energy, pacing, and intensity. Just awesome!
