This is a welcome change of pace from the previous two movies but it still feels like a ‘HAS FALLEN’ movie.
There are some great new casting choices.
Both Gerard Butler and the character he plays seem to have really aged since the last movie a few years ago. He looks tired, vulnerable, and old.
Nick Nolte plays a very convincing old retired, recluse war veteran and the banter between he and Gerard Butler is entertaining.
There is some really questionable CGI choices that detracts from the action unnecessarily. And the recasting of Banning’s wife is unfortunate.
The story is pretty predictable but the whole third act is some AWESOME action!
