Movie Log 🍿 - Ghosted, 2023 - ★★

I have some complicated thoughts on this film. On the surface, it’s kind of dumb but it’s also pretty entertaining and fun at times.

It had themes from something like ‘Red Notice’, ‘True Lies’, and ‘Mr. and Mr. Smith’.

There are some GREAT cameos from notable people as well, which I really enjoyed. But they were incredibly short-lived in the film.

Chris Evans essentially plays a 6-foot 2-inch adult baby, which really threw me for a loop — it’s quite a contrast to most of his other roles. But I commend him for doing something a bit different. His physical comedy abilities are really on display here and I think he did a great job with his character.

Unfortunately, the film also felt very cheap. I found myself getting really distracted and frustrated with the poor CGI and seemingly poor production design.

The film has a lot of different locations and for most of them, it felt like they were on a set with green screens all around. It didn’t feel grounded.

On the whole, I thought the film was just OK but I probably won’t seek this one out for a rewatch any time soon.
