I’ve only seen this once when it came out in 2018 but I hardly remembered anything about it.
After a rewatch, it definitely feels like a middle chapter of the franchise — which isn’t a bad thing but it does feel like it needs something interesting to push the story forward.
I thought the writing for the Drago family was pretty thin, and maybe that was intentional. Their roles are written to be nothing more than ruthless, bloodthirsty scum.
There are a LOT of complex and prominent family storylines in the film that add a layer of complexity but I think they are handed pretty well.
On the whole, a solid movie. I’m really looking forward to seeing ‘CREED III’ in the theater later this week!
