From what I saw in the trailer, I had low expectations going into this film. However, it was better than I expected it to be but still not great.Â
Itâs like a cross between âAnt-Manâ, âStrange Worldâ, Star Warsâ, and âGuardians of the Galaxyâ. Not too shabby.
It is very CG-heavy but I think the intricate production design helped to make the environment more practical and grounded.Â
Johnathan Majors was pretty good on screen â although not nearly as good as I remember him in the season finale of âLokiâ on Disney+.Â
Of the last 6 or so MCU films, I put this near âDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessâ, which isnât very high on my list. It does some interesting things but some of it is really questionable too.Â
The ending had a few different chances to do something really jarring to the a few of the main characters but ultimately, it does the predictable thing in the end.
