It’s incredibly clear what a groundbreaking achievement in filmmaking this movie is. The visuals are truly breathtaking (especially in 4K with Dolby Vision) and it’s easy to see how this inspired so many other great sci-fi films.
However, I think it’s about 45 minutes too long and I had a really hard time staying engaged with the story. Aside from the visuals, I found it painfully boring, which I realize is probably blasphemy to most.
